Summer Clinic The weeks between May and September can be long, especially for a child who demonstrates developmental delays. Taking ten to twelve weeks off of school is often not the best choice, so we offer an alternative! Our Summer Clinic consists of two four-week sessions. Each day starts at 8 and goes until 1. Though more group-oriented than our Day Program, the students days are highly structured and goal-focused. We have twelve spots available for our summer clinic each year, and it is first-come, first-serve. Summer 2013
*students who attend both sessions will receive a $100 reduction for a total of $1200 Kelly Gilkinson McLaughlin Memorial Scholarship Kelly McLaughlin was a true friend of The Helping House. She taught first grade at Brooks Quinn Jones Elementary, and was eager to make accommodations for her students with special needs. Kelly was a continuous supporter of The Helping House through various fund-raisers and events. She always had a smile and words of encouragement. Kelly died October 21, 2011. To honor her, and to continue her legacy of kindness, acceptance, and inclusion of "our kids," her family and friends desired to establish this scholarship. We miss Kelly, and know that many people were touched by her life. Blessings especially to James and to sweet Allie, who shares her mother's smile. The Kelly Gilkinson McLaughlin Memorial Scholarship has been established for two students who meet the following criteria:
