Donations

The Helping House is a non-profit corporation, partially dependent upon grants and donations for operation. As a private school, it stands to reason that part of our operating costs come from student’s tuition. Schools of this type in larger metropolitan areas cost around $1000 a week for a full-day program. Because most members of our community who would need this type of school are not in a position to pay such a high tuition, we would like to offer scholarship assistance.

In order to do this, funding will come from many levels. Private donors and investors will have opportunities to support The Helping House throughout the year as we host fundraisers within our community. We will also seek donations from local and regional corporations who have a vested interest in improving the quality of education for children with ASD. In addition to soliciting financial support from local community corporations, The Helping House will also seek funding from national organizations, such as Autism Speaks.

To supplement the budget, trainings will be offered periodically to community members at a nominal fee. These trainings will address such topics as ABA training, potty training, and food aversions.

Additionally, funding and community awareness will be increased through fundraisers with corporate and private sponsorship. The money raised will go directly to providing scholarships to students in need.
